Our Haiti trip was unbelievable. Thanks to our clients, we had over $3500 donated for our trip in money and supplies. On our trip, we were able to tear down destroyed walls and clean up debris at a school on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince. We also laid a foundation for a house to be built, passed out food to over 2000 people, and provided tents and toys to local children at an orphanage whose buildings were destroyed. With our donations we purchased tools used on our trip, toys and tents for the orphans, supplies to build new walls at the school, medical supplies to help the injured at the hospital and money to help keep the orphans fed and provided for. Just more reasons why our clients are the best and making a difference all over the world.
The trip to Nicaragua was quite a success. We played with children at local orphanages and schools, along with donating baseball equipment to the children of Vera Cruz.
The trip started on a letdown as I arrived in Managua without my baseball bags. (Luckily all my clothes were with me!) After meeting with several people who work in baseball in Nicaragua, I really felt God's call to donate the equipment to Vera Cruz. They play baseball recreationally on the weekends with whatever they have. My bags came in on the day I was leaving, so my friends had to dontate it for me. After donating the equipment and returning, we are in the process of setting up a non profit athletic organization to bring soccer and baseball to Vera Cruz. Game 7 will be involved in setting up baseball camps and coaches clinics to prepare the children and coaches for the upcoming baseball season. The video below is the reaction of Reagan as he gets the baseball equipment donated by Game 7 clients!
